ABOUT THE YARD
Why Do We Exist?
The Yard was built as part of a dream to bring a first class facility to our community -- whether just starting in the sport of baseball or softball, or having a goal to play at the collegiate level or higher. We aim to serve Salina area athletes by providing an opportunity for year-round training and practice as well as being a resource to our coaches.
OUR GOAL AND VISION
At The Yard, we have experienced coaches that can offer you private and group lessons, camps, competitive hitting & pitching leagues, and more -- for all baseball and softball players.
Do you want to train when you want to train, year-round? Consider an annual membership plan.
Do you only want to train as a season or try-out is approaching? Try a month to month plan.
Do you want to compete in the offseason or get extra competitive reps in-season? Try one of our Hittrax leagues.
Want to get training from great coaches and refine all baseball or softball skills? Want to become the best at your position? Add an extra 5-10mph to your fastball. Increase your exit velo? Try out our camps and clinics.
Working on pitching, hitting, or fielding mechanics and want individualized training? Try a private lesson.
Want to be seen by college coaches? Try our combines and College Track plans.
Want help finding a team? We can do a skills assessment for you and connect you to the right coach.
We are committed to making our players the best they can be both on and off the field. It begins with assessing both skill level and natural talent then creating plans for development. Our facility caters to all skill levels of youth baseball and softball athletes as well as offering a track for players with aspirations to play in college or beyond.
The facility includes 5 full-sized batting cages, and more than 12 functional hitting areas, it will also include a full-sized, open-air, outdoor covered turf infield for fielding, and an indoor pitching building with 5 designated pitching bullpens and many more functional pitching areas with no need for a catcher.
